What are some signs I should look for to make sure my heifers are pregnant. They are 2 weeks back from being 2 months with a bull. is it too early yet?
 
Lack of follow up heat cycles is theonly evident one. After 45 days you can have them plapated. Or you can just wait till feet are sticking out.

I hope that they were with a low birth weight bull or else 9 months from now you could be wishing they all weren't pregnant.

Check and see if any of them are being ridden. Then it'd probably be best to have a vet come check them or use a blood test from BioTracking.
 
Got to be careful preg checking that early. You can cause them to abort, or the vet can miss it. I've had the vets cause me to abort two calves over the last couple of years. They said they were open, I re-synced them, out popped a perfect little calf.

Brandon- That was the test I was referring to, and its been a real life saver with us. Having the test done right at 30 days is convient. We also don't have a chute so vet palpation is pretty much out of the question.

Not coming back into heat the following month would be a big one, I would think. The rest of the signs will take a little time to develop.

We Biopryn at thirty days. Get results within days and haven't had any misreadings. The earliest is thirty days but at thirty days most vets here can't tell until 4 months. There are good vets so I am told that can check at 60 days but if you don't know when the animal was actually bred you run the risk of causing an abortion.
The blood work picks up the precence of a placenta gene if I am remembering correctly. That is why you must be sure the animal is over 30 days post calving. She will show preg. You can check there website for the full scoop but it has been very worth while and cheeper for us, not to mention increadibly accurate.
Just my thoughts.
