Powder question for the re-loading guys

A friend of ours (who has actually done quite a bit of re-loading) popped this question on a local firearms FB page. Anyone know the answer? "I have come into possession of 2lbs of Winchester 680 powder does anyone have any info on this powder for .223, .45,. .40 or 9mm?? Some say it is very similar to Accurate 1680."

Since it wasdontinued 30 years ago I would be a little leery of using it unless I knew how it had been stored for that long.
