Posting Pictures Questions

I can't figure out how to post a picture on this site. I've searched the forums, and read the following instruction.....(bold type is mine)

"You have to be a Forum Member and be logged in...

1. Go to Photo Gallery and click on "Upload Photos". If you don't see the button, register and login. Clicking on this sites "Photos" button takes me to ranchers photo gallery. I registered and logged in there, but I can't find a way to make an album, nor anything that says upload. Can anybody tell me where I might be going wrong??

2. Click on the first "Browse" button and find the photo file on your hard drive.

3. Enter Tilte and Description if you wish and click the "Upload/Submit" button.

4. When you have got the picture uploaded and opened, RIGHT CLICK in the picture. You will get a text box opened. Scroll down to "properties" and left click. This brings up another box and in that box there will be a URL. Highlight the complete URL and copy (CNTL C).

5. Go to the forum where you want to post your picture. There will be several little yellow boxes at the top of the page. The boxes contail the following: "B" for bold, i for italics, u for underline and so on. There will be one box that has "Img". When you are ready to post your picture click the "Img" then paste your picture (CNTL V) and follow with another "Img" and your done.

That's all!


Another plus for the Photo Gallery... your picture is automatically sized just right for the Forums!

Thanks Iso. You are the reason I decided that I needed to post a picture :D I figured if an okie could do it, then I should be able too :lol: Of course, the operative word there is "should". I have been going back and forth between here and Yukon the past week, and thought, maybe the planetary alignment :banana: was good enough for me to learn how to post pics. Then, you, an okie, figure it out :clap: . What gives? Just joking of course
Really, thanks for the tip. I thought about it, but them popular named internet sites are the ones I avoid. So, if I post my pictures on photobucket, can anyone in the free world see them, or is it just a "bucket" where I can put something in it and choose who I give it to?

Make sure you save your account to private only and then no one can see them unless you post the URL on websites like CT etc.

Once in photobucket. View your picture(i do 60%) right click and select properties. You should see a http address. Copy that and paste over here between the IMG tags. I'm not a wizard on it so, I hope that helps a little.
