here in south central Mo the ponds are starting to dry up really fast and the grass is about gone

I calve on 25 acre pastures run around 50hd per pasture noticed yesterday the ponds were dropping some went out and checked this afternoon I noticed a mound of dirt showing in one pond that I have never seen before in the 4 yrs I have been here and it wasn't there yesterday (it was under water)

today there was around 8 inches of dirt protruding from the water if we don't get rain looks like I will be hauling water soon have already started feeding hay but that is the norm when I am calving but I am gonna have to start putting out more bales per day this week

sure hope we get some rain soon
I guess I am starting to feel like Vette did the last couple of yrs :cry2: :( :(

Too early to feel like that AC.........as the ole saying goes - "Just wait till next year". :(

Maybe the tide went out to expose the island... Noticed our tanks look like they lost a foot or more in the last few days also.

Send the cows here. Cows having to stay on high ground to keep out of the water. Got almost 4" in the last 24 hours and still raining. They are having to move the campsites at the NASCAR race at Bristol TN because of creek flooding.
