T. Bubba Bechtol, part time City Councilman from Midland, TX, was asked on a local live radio talk show the other day just what he thought of the

allegations of torture of the Iraqi prisoners. His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience. His reply:

"If hooking up an Iraqi prisoner's scrotum to a car's battery cables will save one American GI's life, then I have just two things to say:

"Red is positive" "Black is negative"

I am certainly ignorant when it comes to social studies but I can't remember so much as a phrase or a word that pertains to someone who isn't an American citizen. ( RED IS POSITIVE.....................)

That doesn’t mean we don’t fight fire with fire and that doesn’t obligate us to lower our resolve or use kinder gentler methods. If we do, we are fools. We will be bringing a knife to a gunfight. Scotty, you’re a better man than the man who would murder and rape your family. Would your being better make you want to be tolerant or lenient with him? Of course not.

We have always had limitations on our openness . We for example wouldn't expect to know all the ways that we gain information . Nor would we expect to know all the information. The freedom of information act doesn't grant anyone the right to know anything they choose. There are some things that need not be known. I think this is what Medic was was saying , and I agree.

Don't forget about the new thinking that our constitution is a living instrument... constantly needs tweeking and adjustment to our changing society.............not my words, or thoughts, but those of many of our polititions. I stand nuetral on this issue.

But as far as goverment openess, I wish they would open up and tell us what they really know about Area 51, the Kennedy assasination, Edward Kennedy's Chapaquidic, life after death, do animals have souls, the REAL Nixon tapes, who really killed James Foster, why we watch trash TV, why we like Jerry Springer, how come Michael Jackson is still allowed to play with little boys, what Bill Clinton's definition of 'is' is? Why Martha Stewart is in jail for trying to save some money, but yet OJ Simpson is walking free?

Seems to me that we have plenty of American born people that have the ability to be president. I fail to understand why the constitution needs to be changed so someone not born here can run. Particularly someone who is for gun control.
