Pneumonia quick questions

Think I may be on the rebound with the pneumonia outbreak! It spread through my calves and got a few heifers/cows too , most of the herd looks better

I have one calf thats about 250lbs . Head down cough yesterday , was able to run him down in pasture and give 14cc nuflor subq . Seemed better today . I noticed when i caught him yesterday his hair was falling off . His skin looked like had small lesions or scars . He didn't look good . Today he seemed better . Alert head up much better . Noticed his skin was pink bleeding in areas . He's a charX easy to see . This is the one I'm worried most about


Also notice two cows have yellow crusty eyes , they are old cows heavy bred , no cough , no temp, no head down . Should this concern me ?

I may be way off the mark Brangus but just my instinct on the description of the scabs on the lighter coloured calf and the crustiness around the eyes of the cows would have me looking at this area a bit closer. We have things like lantana poisoning where the cattle after eating the plant which is toxic to the liver sensitises the skin so that small doses of UV radiation causes fairly sever burning of the skin. There are lots of things either eaten, injected or come in contact with that can cause photosensitization. A lot of drugs, tetracycline an example it is suggested you stay out of the sun.
If the cows are light coloured around the eyes as in baldies I would be checking for other signs of crusting on lighter areas such as around the muzzle and bridge of the nose.
