What is this? I think it could be the culprit for a few sick cows last year. It has come up in clumps where we had hay.

Looks like Brazilian verbena if it blooms purple flowers that's what it is. It's an ornamental and butterflies like it. I gave my mom some seeds I got from somewhere and she has a flower bed full of it .Very pretty plant. It has a common name but I can't remember it.

I ended up with it in my hay field after a load of chicken manure .. 24-d kills it pretty easily.. if you don't spray it , it turns into sticks when u bale it .. ruins a bale of hay .
