Moved some more cows to pasture and turned the heifers we are keeping out in the pasture with the bull.
Red Heifer- Red Angus X Charolais x Pinzgauer

Black Roany Heifer-Angus x(out of a possibly Shorthorn X cow)

Charolais heifers

I like the Char heifer on the right, she looks nice and filled

I see a set of cloudstabbers poking out behind the tree in the first pic.. Boss cow?

Nesikep,
We part lease the place with a guy we know that has his herd on the same pasture. That is one of his two longhorns.

That Pinz cow is pretty to look at :) The only problem I could see with them is that the crossbreds could get confused for LHs at the sale barn and get docked

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. Nesikep, I know that most people wouldn't have the pinz because of the possibility of them getting docked. In my experience, they do not get docked as much as a longhorn influenced calf. Of course they do get docked a little forthe white. They still sell in the mid-range price of medium and large 1-2 for their weight. Now I am not advocating anyone going out and buying pinz cows, but I enjoy mine.
I am a beginner and have seen solid black angus x longhorn calves and I can tell the difference between them and a full angus calf. I expect the buyers can also tell the difference between the pinz crosses and the longhorn crosses. I know the buyers will dock on anything that they can.
Pinz crosses are meatier and have More fat/muscle especially over the rump area, heavier bone, larger frame, longer legs than longhorn crosses. The pinz x calves are often bigger at weaning (6 months) than my angus but The pinz and pinz x cows are also larger than the angus.
Example of a steer that we sold before he turned six months old
