Nice Buck. What time did he come out? Been moving here pretty good lately.

Right around 9:30am I gave a few good grunts and estrus bleats. Then this guy came right in to about 30ya. I let him have it with the Marlin 45-70 and that was it!! ;-) :cboy:

Yes you are right I have to give a lot of the credit to my son inlaw he scouts, sets up stands, ect. Then I get to hunt out of them because they are on my land.(lucky eh!) :)

I know what you mean about the time. I have shot most of my deer around 8:30 to 10:00am I still get in the stand early though because I like to let the woods settle down before dawn.

That gun is a Marlin 1895GS in 45-70 gov. the old buffalo cal.
I must admit that after the firt time I shot it I have had to carry it on any hunt that had me shooting 200yr or less. It is a real fine weapon!!!
