pickup mounted bale spear

have any of you used one of these and how do ya like them? I mean the single bale spike that hooks to the 5th wheel ball. Some are hydraulic(self contained) some have a hand winch. What brand do ya use?

I've used the type that have an electric winch. Worked ok, great for hauling a single bale moderate distances on the road. Not as flexible to use as a bale spike on a tractor loader but in some applications they work good enough. The primary thing that I don;t care for about them is I can't lift the bale ring high enough with it to place over the new bale and you can't get the bale high enough to drop into a hay ring that's already in position.

I made a fifth- wheel mounted unit with a cheap electric winch. I double pullied it and it works fine.
