So after discussions with the Robertson family, as well as consulting with numerous advocacy groups, A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family.

Jesse who? I didn't pay much attention to the deal, I knew it was a tempest in a teapot. Everybody getting on their soap box about "free speech". Well nobody came to arrest Phil for his comments, so he enjoyed his right to free speech now didn't he. The network has billions at stake for their "brand" or image and they have the right and responsibility to protect it, too. So the whole thing was blown way out of proportion to begin with. Whether you agree with Phil or not, he had the right to express his views. Whether you agree with A & E or not, they were within their rights, too. So how did those two rights make such a wrong??????

I never thought this was a free speech issue to begin with. Employers have the right to take action against employees that reflect badly on their business. What was a really big problem for me is A&E approved the interview. They could have censored or drew boundaries around Phil and the GQ interviewer by stating anything gay was off limits, but they didn't. They even had a representative sit in the interview with them and nary a word said until the LGBT crowd complained.
