Tomorrow the Colts will release who I consider the smartest QB in the NFL. I hope he wins the Super Bowl with his new team. The Colts wouldn't even be relevant if it weren't for him, and may not even exist. Where will he wind up?

i also wish he would retire and go to coaching. Simply because I hate to see those great players diminish theer luster by playing too long. Montana is the guy who most comes to mind for me.

I hate, hate, hate to see him go, but I'd like to see a decent team to watch in 5 yrs. It's he77 to get old, but that's what happens. 35 is dead meat in any sport I know, even NASCAR (sorry Mark Martin). Peyton has been treated fairly (over $20 million last year. Do you throw another 28 million down that hole? Jim Irsay lights cigars with checks for my annual income but $28 million takes this way past friends. And if you can get Luck for a lot less money you have to ask where will you be in 5 yrs.

One of the talking heads on ESPN was saying today that Manning would likely end up at Kansas City, Miami, Arizona or the Jets. Can't see him going to the Jets with all the instability there. Either way, I wish him the best whether he plays again or retires.
They were also saying that Manning is one of the few sports figures that can, and will, make more money away from their sport as they would still playing. If he plays again it won't be because he needs the money. I'm sure he'll make the right decision.

That was back when QBs actually were football players and got hit! They don't get hit any more. Peyton has 3-4 really good years left in him. Favre had one of the best seasons ever for a QB at 38 years old and Peyton hasn't taken 1/10th the hits he did.
