Perennial Rye

I mixed in some perennial rye with my over seeding I done this week. I wonder if it will sprout die then come back in the fall or did i waste my money...

Probably die, unless it can go to seed and drop the seed before the summer heat kills it off.

FIgured as much... I forgot i had it for about 2 years in my shed and decided to blend in perennial rye with a 4 acre piece i have that I keep my new cattle in till they are used to me.
