Last fall we seeded Durana clover in the pastures. I am not real sure about the stand since we only got one rain after it was planted. A little here and there is showing up. I have already bought the same amount of seed to replace what I seeded last year.
I read a paper where Mr. Vaughn had planted Durana in his bermuda fields, and when he does a soil test, it doesn't require any nitrogen.
Has anyone planted any Patriot Clover? I am going to start a field of Vaughn's this summer, and want to cut it for hay. I would like to add Patriot since they report it grows taller and is almost as resistant to fungus as the Durana. It is supposed to cure better also. I have not heard much said about the Patriot other than what is being reported in newsletters. I hope to hear that some of you planted it and have had good results. Chuckie
