Oh how happy i would be if my soil test came back with those numbers. U used 55lb of actual N just to stockpile my winter fescue.

To get your soil healthy and PH right i would only put our organic and calcium down. Both will help in getting the organic nitrogen into the soil and get ph up. Our 15-10-5 is equivalent to putting 230lbs per acre of granular fertilizer down. So it's main job is to boost the growth of the grass not get and stay in the soil like the organic and calcium.

You didn't miss a thing. What happens is the spray has an immediate effect on the foliage above ground that it comes in contact and enhances the above ground biomass on a short term basis. It is highly effective to get a very quick, but very short term boost to the current vegetation. There are situations where it could be excellent, such as immediate greenup on a drought stricken pasture that is nutrient deficient (immediately when the drought is broken). Long term a more sustainable approach is to correct nutrient deficiencies through the soil.

North/North East Texas. I try stay within 100 miles of Greenville Tx but if at least 100 acres or more I'll travel farther. Several times a year I travel down to I-10 area around Columbus Tx have about 350 acres in spray for people down there.

It would be quite beneficial to you to go to and join a cattleman's association in your area. They typically have monthly meetings. Usually everyone there is a rancher and you can ask all kinds of questions and get answers from the pros in your area. Albeit, the first answer you'll get when you tell them you are new to ranching is to "get out now while you have the chance." You might even find a mentor their.

If you have a sandy land, feed my wilman love graass hay and it will reseed your pasture. Go to you tube and search for wilman love, all the videos are from me driving thru my pasture next to my field. It is the grass that will reseed a sandy pasture all you have to do is feed it and the cow dung and wind will do the rest. I can tell you more about how obvious to is me that it is the favorite grass for cattle. I put my weaned calves in a klein grass field this summer, 7 of the 35 jumped the fence and went back to a field with wilman love grass. call me 3252476342. I tried to upload a utube of my grass, it was too big. Just go to utube.and search for wilman love.
