i really dont want 2 horses. what is the most low maintence pasture buddy i can get for my horse. another horse seems like more than a need and is tough on grass. i was thinking maybe an old pony or something. maybe a goat?

goats are good buds for horses depending on the horse. an old pony might not be good if your looking for low maintainence because they may have health problems. why are you getting rid of your horse?
really only want 1 horse. the horse is a 10 yr old mare who i just dont ride and dont have time to time with her to keep her straight. i would rather not feed another horse since i have one to ride i really like. i dont ride enough to have 2 horses. i figure its better to get a free-bee or close to it rather than keeping a good 10 year old mare QH.

in reference to your other post, it is likely your mare will still be buddy sour with a goat as well.
