Has anyone heard anything about the Paris sale barn war. Heard #3 is being built only to run out cattlemans..

Sure enough, hauled some culls to Paris's wednesday sale...New barn going up right next to the other new one. Not just down the road, you could walk over to it while unloading cattle....so so weird. They have a big sign up saying they will be open soon, Sat and Wed sales.. Who does this? Who gets so pizzed off that they want to run 2 places out of business just for spite...lol

Same thing happened at Navasota a few years ago. Somebody got mad at the owner of the old auction and built a new one 2 or 3 miles down the road. It wasn't long until the new one was under new management, but they're both still in business.

Perhaps it'll come back and bite them in the arse and they'll be the ones going broke.. I've seen it with other businesses here in town and I can't shed much of a tear for people who do that.

I like the newest sale barn. Never liked the old one in town..If i had my choice it would be the new....Not sure i agree with the one being built out of spite...seems weird. The new, i'll call #2, is nice and run well. #1 is old and run down. They hire creepy people to run it and getting into it is hectic..I dont think i'll want to take anything to #3 when they open..
If anything, maybe we'll become a hub, like Oklahoma City...that would be cool.
