Calman, It looks like that fire is between us. 15% humidity. Winds are only 20 miles an hour this time. They cannot get it under control yet.

Not good at all,Boogie. I knew it was just a matter of time,it's so dry around here it wouldn't take mush to start a fire.

You boy's aint putting enough in the plate on Sunday or yall's preacher aint passin it on.
I pity yall after three year's we got a break and are no longer listed under the drought by the map.
Things are not back to normal but a heck of lot better than it was.

I'll be fine so long as there are no fires on my place. After losing everything but the house in '90, I am better prepared now.
Only one tank is dry. The cows have been using that one exclusively for some reason. Now they are off to others.
It seems these fires are getting to be routine.
The low humidity doesn't help. I sure hate it for those folks getting hit.

Actually we started out good in the spring. Got our tanks full and the rye grass came on strong.Come time for the coastal the rains quit.Got about 3in high and that was it.So we had to turn the cows in on the hay field at one place and feeding hay at the other.
Wheat was good though,got 100 bails off it.Now having to feed it here at the Bowie Ranch.We do have enough hay to pull through
the coming winter and since we enlarged our tanks we have plenty water.Guess we have this winter taken care of then I rekon we'll see what happens.

They're still burning.
40% chance of rain today. I am sick to death of being in the donut or horse shoe. Its my turn! Those clouds can have squatters rights if they park themselves over me!

Just lucky in we are getting rains spaced out and keeping the grass green and tall.
Look's like if we stay the course we will hit 40 inches for the year that is about 2/3's normal.
