Pair prices around the country?

There are only a couple of small auctions in my local area, but the few pairs that come through have been crazy-priced.... for what the cattle were.
Saw a 1300 pound pair(the calf was newborn), black cow, not much flesh on her, and she looked over 10 to me. Brought $1900.
Also saw a couple younger, heavy bred cows, weighing 1300 or so.....$1700 a head. That is high for here in Pa.

I'd think that's pretty reasonable. Sell the calf and get most of your money back, and you still have the cow.

Take that 1300 lb pair with baby calf and split them and the pair would bring $1850 to $1875 today where I was. (1200 x$1,10 = $1320 + $550 for baby = $1870.

Yesterday at our sale full mouth pairs were $3,000. Broken mouth pairs $1,600 to $2,200.
I was not there so I can not comment on quality.

Jason I been watching winchester last few weeks pairs are high as shyt ,... Cheapest I saw was char cow calf pair calf was about a month old went for 1500.... Everything like BA..BWF.. Went up to 2400

spring pairs in California if truly young and fancy and a load lot deal are trading at $3,000-$3,600. fall calving cows if the same top quality and young are $2,400-$3,200.
