I need to have a cabin painted. It has Hardi board siding. I am going to have it painted. Is sprsying it or hand. Painting it better.

Hand painting is a thicker coat. Also, spraying technique makes or breaks a job. Spraying on windy days is a NO! Best of both worlds...what Hoover said; spray and roll. Spraying then rolling out is faster than just rolling...but does take two people to make it truly efficient.

I have quite a bit of Hardy board on this place.
My son used to work for them I got tons of reject stuff.
It would have a corner broke or lumpy primer coat.

I have never had good luck spraying it.

Thanks everyone. I decided on having it hand painted, one coat of primer and two of paint. This should be the last time i have to worry about it. My kids are getting this place, grandkids the other place. I actually sold all my cows so i could tear out and redo the south fence. Always something to keep me busy.
