Was scanning the trailer width discussion again this AM and was just wondering. I didn't watch it happen but a guy loaded a trailer with probably 15 bovines by himself, with a limited broken down corral and they were packed in the trailer like sardines, sideways. You big trailer guys, just how did he do that?

Sometimes they turn sideways on their own. Most of the time you have to steer them into parking like you want them. Takes a little patience and also understanding how to get the cattle to do what you want them too. Also demands being real careful.

Velocity is your friend in the loading chute , I believe in calm handling , except there . Get them lined up , and get em going and don't slow down , and you can pack them in. Mature cows seem more likely to get down than calves in my experience .
I dont like stacking cows like that but calves or heifers the tighter the better IMO. Thats where I really like that extra width to give the cows a little room.
