Does anyone know how to get in touch or who would be the best packer to reach out to in the North Carolina area. I’ve originally been contemplating selling these calves as 7 weights to feedlots but just curious slaughter cattle pricing by the truckload and how to get in touch with a buyer?

First consider what they are worth as 7wts and what it will cost you to get them to a slaughter weight of 1400 to 1500lb.
There are several cow and bull slaughter facilities in the Carolinas but im not aware of anywhere south of Pennsylvania that kills fed calves.

Talk to the sale barn where you buy fdr cattle. If they have a slaughter sale they should be able to give you contact information for several packer buyers.

I know it’s regional but there’s at least 3 fed cattle buyers and 2 or 3 cull cow/bull buyers at our local markets
