Haven't used PP directly but currently using this son 1510023. Birth weights from the mature registered cows were atypically high from his first crop. Bred to the same cows the next year with no drastic environmental/weather differences, the BWT's were significantly lower i.e. 20-30 lbs less. No calving difficulty either year. IMO, much like his sire, birth weight is inconsistant. That said, the calves from my PP son are handsome and stout. FWIW, have used McPhee bulls exclusively from 1978 through 2014.
