Does anyone have an outdoor fireplace/grill ? I was talking with other half about one I always liked them but she doesnt want one in the middle of the yard said she prefer one of those lil portable fireplaces that can be moved. Does anyone that has one use it a great deal or is it just taking up space ?

Hoss Do you have the one that looks like it has a chimney you load in it or the circular one that has like the screen that goes over top of it and its circular

Will have to get some tomarrow.just built it this year, don't use it much because when I come in I'm done for the day. It's great for parties though. Needs to be real big though. I don't think ours is big enough.

Looks like they got cut off on one side but you can get the idea. PM a # and I'll take some more and text you tomarrow.

Jed that is awesome... My other half her eyes brightened up and said I like that you can do that lol... Thanks Jed I wasn't thinking of anything that nice with all the stamped concrete lol Awesome did you build it yourself?

Jed, that thing is cool. I never can get anything to look that good, if I did the cattle would get out and run right through it.

Thanks, we had the guy that does my shop building do the concrete. it was cut afterward, not stamped. Had a crew of bricklayers that didn't speak good English do the brick work. It's all my wife's design and the really good thing is she paid for it. The patio is big enough it need a portable pit for the center when it's real cold. We have some of those propane heaters that are on a stand and the heating element is above your head and reflects the heat downward. Kinda like fancy chicken house heaters. The house is to the left of the picture.

Looks great Jed. Mines double sided, one side for the outdoor kitchen with screened in porch and the other is open to the sitting area. I'll get some pics when I get time.

Dang Jed--I've seen outdoor fireplaces at resorts that don't look that good.

I just have an old 8N Ford wheel in the middle of the back yard--ghetto style. :(

An old washing machine tub works great. That's what we always used growing up. I still prefer it.

That's what I had in mind when she started talking about it. The rounded end of a propane tand works good too.

The washing machine tub really works great. You can get some of those decorative landscaping bricks from somewhere like Lowes and stack them around it so you dont see the tub. When you need to empty the ashes you can just lift it out and dump it.

I think they are probably plastic nowadays.
