Our local barn prices are down this week why?

The market trends on Cattle Range is showing that the price has been rising for a week. Just don't understand what's going on at the local sale barns. The buyers are on the phone all the time so they should know about the market. We're getting screwed I believe, but who knows?

Most calves here yesterday were .20 or more higher than last week. Last week was bad here.

Futures climbing slightly this week instead of jumping like lasat week. But I see it as a sign of stability in the market.

Sold two calves today. I finally got a check bigger than I was expecting. Course I didn't have high expectations of these two anyway....couple of those "mongrel crossbreds" bred to a decent bull.
