As was said, it isn;t as persistent as KY31 but still a viable grass in a mixture. If cutting it for hay cut it about 4-5 inches high rather then shorter. Because of the way it grows, cutting it short damages the growth points and will cause it to die out after just a couple of years. In a pasture, rotate the cows off of it beforee it gets eaten down below 4-5 inches and it will persist for a long time.
