Anyone have opinons of him. I've seem some real maternal heifers and some stout steer prospects.
Just looking for more opinions than just mine.

Ground Zero is known to throw some monster sized calves at birth. Reports all over the net from people who saw Johnny Walker on display was not good at all. Apparently he is really small and looks nothing like his picture. Take it for what it is worth.

If you look at em side by side you can see they're both lacking a little in the flank but they've tried to cover it up some by leaving more hair there. Then again, Shorthorns aren't typically known for great flanks or butts for that matter, but like cowboy said, they have got great eye appeal.

Obviously you want pretty much a straight line from the girth thru to the flank, which is asking a bit. Neither is lacking a great deal thru the flank. Below Zero is better there imo. There's not a great deal of hair left there. They've made great use of his hair round the butt yet under that there's some nice muscling coming thru. I really like him.
Different types yes, but as far as eye appeal, if that shorty was solid coloured, imo he'd still be the bull to go for. Any pics of calves by him?

Back to ground zero for a minute...

I need to moderate frame a bit but maintain the bone, hip and clean front all the while not sacrificing any maternal. Will he work or not? Is he sound? BW is not a concern.

Any of ya'll have issues with using wave on wave (heat wave II). That is $20 a unit compared to the $60 you can get into with heat wave himself. Has the FDA approved the putting of clone sires calves in the food chain?
