If you are a fan of washer pitching' there's only one place to be this weekend. It's Yorkville, Tennessee for the 13th annual International Washer Pitching' Contest. The festivities are at the Yorkville City park along Highway 77 in Gibson County, TN.

At Yorkville's Municipal Civic Center, the stage is set for an annual tradition that started 13 years ago by two men just looking for something to do. "People around here have been pitching washers since Davy . So we thought that's what we'll do. A hand full of us thought it was a good idea and the rest just laughed at us," says Jim Payne. Payne has been pitching the little discs since the beginning "We've got folks from all over, CA, FL MD. I think MD is the farthest away we've got people coming," says Payne.

The object of the game is to toss washers into a round hole in the ground twenty feet away. No matter what your score, in the end it's all about having fun. So, head to northwest Tennessee and pitch a few washers. All the money stays in the city. For a town of about 300, that's a big deal.

Saturday's events start with a prayer breakfast at 6:30. The Junior Washer Pitching contest starts at 10 and opening ceremonies at noon. The awards ceremony will be at 5:30.

I used to pitch silver dollars into a hole in the ground about twenty feet away.
Then I discovered the cattle business.

You missed a good chance last week.

There was a guy from Cullman, Alabama that robbed a bank there and left his personalized "Checkbook" laying on the counter when he left the bank.

The police were waiting on him when he got home!
