Looks feminine. I hope he's worth it.
Maybe why his female sexed semen is worth so much.
Lol.

I'm betting with those kinds of dollars...
They might be flushing and petri dishing...

With that price on the semen... I hope they will flush 5 cows for eggs at once!!

I-80 is very popular with both Maine-Anjou and club calf breeders. Recognized for his low birth weight (67 lbs) and calving ease, and being TH and PHA free. He works well back on much of todays popular club calf genetics. He's not the answer for everything and everybody, but where he works, he works very well. And yes, generally speaking his daughters are more valuable than his sons.

btw - I know that page lists current semen prices from $30 to $50 & ask- ask is prob'ly the right answer. Original I-80 semen was sometimes available for $50 this past fall. Supply just doesn't keep up with demand, and when the owners don't have any semen available, it can get to trading really high.

Here I thought the females out of club calf bulls doesn't make a good cow :?

A few do, but I don't hear of a ton.

This is the sire of my black cow, although... she was destined to be a good cow, she has a great dam too.
Great maternal instincts and catches with calf easily.
I like her dam more, but she's still very much earning her keep.

Did you get your semen bought? The bull you were interested in Was not too bad...
No I didn't.
It would have been higher than what Stepping Stone Genetics is selling it for had I got my bid on.
I thought I might wait for another auction or get it from SSG when I'd need it.
