Don't shoot me Randy but those are some really tiny nuts for a bull that big! :help: :2cents:

Just a old bull 3way. Born in 1971 and imported to Canada. He did produce some cattle that seemed to do alot of things right. Was also a very gentle easy going bull.

3 way he was sired in Franch. Ever seen anything french with "balls"??? :lol2:

This bull was never a favorite of mine, I thought he was too tall, and had nuts like a squirell. He did work well in the show ring at the time. but very seldom do I like whats hot in the show ring. Now if you can stick a pic of Colorado 150 up here, thats what I want a bull to look like. I saw that bull in 1981 or 82, in person.. Best looking bull I have ever seen any breed, any time.

Well you/we better find a picture of him then.

I can get you a picture of 150 Houston. Will take me a few days, but i some folks that has pictures of all the old bulls. As for the Gendarme he sired some real good cows. He was the sire of alot of the Texas Star line of cattle Houston.

Randy indeed he was the grandsire of some of the popular bulls out of that Texs line. First one i think of, was Primo, but if you check a little bit, you will find something a little interesting.... Most of the cattle that he produced out of those lines came from one female in particular... Nordic Debonnaire 11D....to put it mildly in my opinion, that lady was some kinda fine...I think you could have crossed one of those funnel butted Angus bulls with that girl and come up with a gem.. I would really like to see a pic of her.....If you look at some of the popular fullbloods of that time, her name will show up in a lot of the family trees

Only a few bulls will take you back close to the 11D cow Houston. WRC Napoleon was out of Gendarme and the 11D cow. EL Presidente was out of 747 and the 11D cow . Bacarat was out of Harvest Oly. and 11D. Nordic Debonnnaire was sired by Email. I have spent hours runnning down semen to take me back to 11D Houston.
