? On rye grass

We had about 2 inches of rain over the weekend, and I was wondering if it is ok to broadcast rye grass after the rain or wait until it is going to rain again?

Don't know your locale, but if you just got 2 inches of rain then you should have enough moisture there to germinate the ryegrass unless you are able to predict when that next slow rain will come. its starting to get late in the day/year anyway, but there is still time.

I am located in North Texas, and I went ahead and slung it out today. There is a chance of rain this weekend.

i had heard all about and seen pictures of of ryegrass on this board, but being in west texas we don't get enough rain for it to sprout.
but i was feeling lucky and thought the kids don't really need new shoes since that just got new ones 2 years ago and they could skip lunch for a while.
so i bought a couple bags and broadcast it last week and we had a couple showers since and it has already sprouted.
we'll see what the 90 degree temp on wed. does to it :shock:
