I begged telephone co to at least get me internet, and they were kind enough to oblige!

And not soon enough! Have a question will post on health board.

If there is anything important I missed, please PM me, I don't think I can catch-up on all I missed in 10 days.

M2 - Was the move as much fun as you thought or was there pain and suffering enough for everyone?

You must have batted your eyes at someone to get your service so quick. I thought you had said 6-8 weeks and it was more like two.

Good to have you back.

Cuz - we only partially moved. Have the house for sale and are trying to remodel the new, so the kids are packed in the sun room at the moment while we are trying to get their bedrooms built. Since other house hasn't sold, we left almost all furniture there, to save on storage. So the main move has not occured yet. I'm hoping to have it done before snow flies, but with frosts already being reported, I may be SOL!

When I first signed up for the new bundled service they said I would get a call in a couple weeks to set appt to evaluate wiring, etc in house before install which would then be in 6 to 8 weeks. After 2 weeks, I stopped at Phone co and said I hadn't even received the call for the eval yet. And "could I at least just get the internet up?" They were so nice, they got right on it. When the guy showed up and said we had to run all new wire, the Cat5, I thought he was going to leave!

Luckily no ceilings in the lower level yet, so I helped him out and we ran 5 new cat5 lines! And set-up wireless for my office!

So kids have their computer up and I have my office up (but not fully functional as of yet....but that is another story!)

Probably what helped is the phone co is a local co-op, not a big, faceless corp!

Glad to be back!

Glad things are working out well for you. Probably made a difference when the guy saw you too!

Have you tried one of the satellite internet services?

Nope. We are getting a bundled service phone/internet/tv which is like a buy 2 get 1 free when comparing prices.
