Some of you may remember my post from a couple of months ago, where I got screwed on buying a registered beefmaster bred heifer.
The story to date.
Drive 40 miles one way, buy a bred heifer.
Take her home
My bull wears her out repeatedly
I call the breeder, and he dodges for a few days
I load her up and take her to the vet
She is open.
The breeder says I can switch but I have to take the old one back and pick up a new one.
I was mad, as I thought he should make it right by picking up the old and delivering the new.
I go 40 miles one way drop off the old and pick up the new
The new is claimed to have been checked that week and is 4.5 months preg
I take her home.
1 month later she looks like that vet was wrong as she is swelling up and making pretty heavy bag.
2 weeks later I notice bloody discharge
1 month later my bull is popping her a good one.
This Saturday I am taking her back to the vet for blood work. i think she aborted. Bag went down, swelling went down, bull is working her.
Vet should be able to tell me what caused abort, maybe.
Do I have the right to just demand my money back, or am I screwed blued and tattooed?
This is my second heifer, tons of deisel and vet bills and I still don't have a bred heifer. i don't want any animals from this guys farm. What would you do? Remember this breeder refused to deliver me a new one, the first time we had trouble.
