Should we induce look like she should have calved a week ago
she having a hard time just getting around anymore any suggestions

Wait another week. 283 days is a guidleline. Some breeds have longer gestation periods then that. 2 weeks before to 2 weeks after the expected (283 day) is still nomral.

What dun said, but something else to think about is you might consider penning her for that week to make things easier on her. If you've got a lightbred to keep her company, so much the better. Just a suggestion.

O'l Boss Cow is a week late tomorrow...bag geting tighter, vulva floppier and big as a minivan...I'll wait another week before I get worried. Posted awlile ago and got good responses.

What prompted you to make the decision for surgery?

older cow telling me she needed it out along with my gut feeling, safer for the both of them. It was a bull calf 107 lbs. well ready to come out.
a little big for a future herd sire for most people. 5040 always like to have them on the big side.
