I was given an old JD sickle mower. I'm interested in seeing some pictures of what this mower looked like in a past life. I would like to restore to operational status. I found the ID tag and know it's a john deere but can't read much more than that and the tag is so brittle. It appears the mower is suspended from chains and the pto shaft and the actual mower are connected with a meatl frame but a piece of wood was used to actully run the mower. Pretty neat design. I'm pretty sure I can duplicate most of the parts but I would love to fix it as close to original as possible. I would also like to find a web site that I could get a manual from.
