:(

Have to take one of my stud does into the vet in the morning to have a vaginal prolapse stitched up. She has 7 weeks until she drops. She is a $2K doe from one of the best studs in Australia.

She has always been a prolapser, but never anything that has needed attention. She is now 6, and every kidding she prolapses the vagina just a tiny little bit, but it has never been anything that required intervention, and for that reason, she stayed. My philosophy is if they can kid unassisted and raise their kids without assistance, then they are earning their keep. She manages to kid twice a year every year, and generally has triplets, raises them by herself not a problem at all.

This evening she has prolapsed BADLY, I could get it back in but it wouldnt stay in. So I'm off to the vet in the morning to have her stitched. Will get the kids out of her in 7 weeks and let her raise them, but she wont be bred again.

That's too bad...rotten luck considering her value and production! Good luck at the vet's.
