Given the current market conditions, do you think we'll have the usual October calf price slump???
Here those 10 weights don't cost any more dollars than 7 or 8 weights do.Been wondering the same thing. Id like to buy some 8 to 10 weights this Fall.
Hoping it's the same here. Here those 10 weights don't cost any more dollars than 7 or 8 weights do.
7-10 years ago the general public didn't know what a brisket was. Now every amateur back yard griller has a smoker too.I would think it will stay good thru Labor Day but one thing I've noticed over the last couple of years is that backyard grilling even in winter and even by with city folks that don't know bbq from squat has really taken off. There are huge groups on the internet that talk about nothing else. Any kind of beef and pork ribs are the #1 & 2 choices.
You can thank social media and pellet grills for that. A big hold up for urbanites was always where to get seasoned smoking wood. Now one machine does it all.7-10 years ago the general public didn't know what a brisket was. Now every amateur back yard griller has a smoker too.
For most of my life when ask if we wanted the brisket we said just to put it into the hamburger.7-10 years ago the general public didn't know what a brisket was. Now every amateur back yard griller has a smoker too.
We did too, til my wife got her first smoker. She makes a pretty good smoked brisket. For most of my life when ask if we wanted the brisket we said just to put it into the hamburger.
I thought the exact same thing but was in a hurry and didn't type it. Pellet grills and those curly cue mustaches go hand and hand. You can thank social media and pellet grills for that. A big hold up for urbanites was always where to get seasoned smoking wood. Now one machine does it all.

Ya I don't use one but don't turn down invites to eat from one.Well the pellet grills do make you kind of pussified and I would much rather have a wood fire but it sure is nice to put on a brisket at bedtime and not have to get up to check the fire every two or three hours. Set that baby at 200 degrees and it will be ready for a brisket and egg breakfast.
On the way to work the other day I found an almost new pit boss in the ditch. Looked like it slid out of a truck and stopped in the ditch. Very little damage, I put it on Facebook asking if anyone lost something on “x” road. So now I have a $500 smoker lolYa I don't use one but don't turn down invites to eat from one.![]()
