This looks very promising for the future. It would be good to install at some locations where the infrastructure was available for distribution. Such as a power plant that had been closed.

I've worked Nukes for 41 years all total. Been at Comanche Peak again since 1985. Vistra just bought Beaver Valley, Davis Besse, and Perry. So we are now going to be a fleet operation.

The problem with this proposed unit you list is that it does not meet the New Build standards. No licensing guarantee by the NRC. Building a plant is one thing, licensing it for operation is another. I've been thru that. We applied to get a new build plant here at Comanche Peak and did not get the permit.

Domestic power plants are mostly choosing the AP1000. My daughter is also an engineer and working on AP1000 units.

Nuclear is clearly the safest and lest pollutant. But initial cost is outrageous. You'd best make sure you can get one licensed before you put out the funding.
