Know what is for supper tonight.

Fox or greys?

We only have fox squirrel here but there's no limit. This year the roads are littered with them.

When I lived I Strawberry Az. there was a kid that hunted them with a sling shot and ball bearings. He didn't miss very often.Z

RKM,

I guess it's because you used a single shot as a boy, mine was and is (I still have it and use it sparingly) a Savage Model 24 over and under 22 mag / 410. My uncle gave this gun to me over 40 years ago, we used to shake vines to chase the squirrels out of the nests. Haven't done that in ages. The last time I used the gun I was shooting at a couple of skunks around the house. I managed to hit one, but didn't take him out. Only the worst could have happened, he ran underneath the house, spraying it all the way. Needless to say, the wife was not at all happy  I have been forbidden to shoot at any more skunks with this gun. Now I keep a 12 gauge pump handy. :D

Yea skunks are real mess you better hope they don't even twitch when you shoot them. Also don't put the dog out if there is a skunk in the yard. That is a lasting problem!

Front legs back and back legs. I like mine fried with rice and gravy. There is also dumplings and stew. There are good with biscuits for breakfast.
