not sure what to use for a title...China?

Being from Canada we have a couple of shows simillar to the US 60 minutes. One is called Market Place and the other W5.
Both were on food or food products from china.
It was so disturbing how both of our (Canada and the US) are so dependant on this and other countries simillar to China. It's in our cereal, our fish, our juice, our honey (knew that) our, just about all processed food and vitamins.
And it is labeled product of Canada, product of the US. And only because we put the product together here in our countries.
When asked of Kelloggs, Post, Quaker and General Mills where they get the product to make their cereals only one told where the products came from the rest did not know or want to reveal.
If you get the chance google CTV's W5 or CBC market place and watch on line. Pretty informative and pretty gruesome.

Yep--Sad how we have completely sold out our countries in the continued Walmarting of the world....

As far as the labeling-- that is the reason so many cattlemen/farmers and consumers pushed so hard to get the current M-COOL bill enacted and implemented-- so that the Packer/Importer/Retailer can't continue to use a loophole in the USDA rules that allows imported meat and produce products to be labeled as coming from the US....

The really scarey thing tho-- is that the pharmaceutical industry testified to Congress the other day that over 50% of our pharmaceuticals and drugs are either made thru subcontracts in China or the base products come from China :shock: :shock: :mad: :mad:
