Is off road better for tractors, loaders, etc.?

Here in TN, Off road diesel is tax free for AG. Anything purchased for the farm, ie; feed, seed, tools, fencing, tractor and implements etc. is all tax free. Hmmmm, I'm going to look into a tax free barn for the tractor and a greenhouse.

We get the non-ethanol at Casey's for the Polaris Rangers, chainsaws, etc. - and pay a premium. Never noticed a sticker that indicates ethanol, but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

There's only one place around here that sells off road diesel and lately, it's more expensive than regular diesel, especially if we use our bonus points at Dillon's (owned by Kroeger). Is off road better for tractors, loaders, etc.?

Off road and on road diesel is the same. No taxes paid on off road and it is dyed red so they can tell.

And running off road in a on road vehicle can result in very heavy fines. At least in VA. Cost me $2014 on a truck sitting in a parking lot broke down.
