Nomination for 2008 DIZZY DIVA AWARD

I make a motion to nominate Georgia Representative Stephanie Stuckey Benfield (Democrat) of District 85 (Dekalb County aka Atlanta) for this esteemed and prestigious award. She recently has introduced a bill HR 887, which would make it illegal to sell noxious and invassive plants in Georgia. Some of the terrible weeds she proposes to outlaw are fescue and bermuda grass as these plants are considered bad by the National Park Service.

Yeah, they both shared some of the same voting area. Legislation such as would be hilarious if it weren't for the fact that it illustrates how far removed many of the lawmakers are from reality and what little understanding they have of the real world.
