Storms blew thru late last night--lots of wind and lightning, but only about .10 rain. Power was off for about 7 hrs--came back on around 8 am..
Got 2 trees down on the river fence I gotta go cut off tho.

We haven't had any at the farm since September and it wasn't a whole lot. And as most around, it was extremely dry before that. I took this picture last week, those trees butt up next to us. The fire occurred late July if I remember right. There should have been some king of hint of weeds and vegetation by now. There wasn't a ton of grass in there but there was some.

This picture is on our side. It is not a good stand, but as dry as it is, how is this wheat even still green? It has to be a pretty tough plant.

thats about all the storms have done for us around here lately... blow down more trees, and gives me more fence to fix. Keeping me in plenty of firewood though..

We got about a quarter inch last night . Just enough to wet the bag of hog pellets I forgot on my truck .

Didn't get a drop. If we don't get some rain soon there is not going to be a cow left in this area come spring.

We haven't had a rain in a couple months. I planted oats after about .5" and they came up but the deer are catching up to them now. A couple of the sorrier places are on a light ration of hay. All the rain has been just south of us or more towards Houston.

We had 3/4" yesterday in 12 hours. We still haven't made 12" for the year yet.
It's bad here but it could be worse I guess. Hopefully it will rain next week.
There's a good chance for 3 days next week. Good Luck we need some.

Finally, after conditions in Oct, Nov, and 1/2 of December that matched summer drought, rain is coming down. Too late to help my rye grass, but we have gotten over an inch this morning. I'll take it!

Not even a trace for us around here. not good.
This weekend, had some friends out by Altus (southwestern part of the state) said they were selling out, due to no grass, not much hay left, and this is the 2nd winter they have gone thru like this in a row. Sad.. but true.

I drove thru Altus a couple of times-seems like there was someone selling granite tombstones on every corner for some reason.

Tomorrow could be the end of the world, or maybe he!! is freezing over or something like that. Got 1.26" last night when the front blew through so something is going on.

We had crazy winds all night. The line started up just east of us. It blew through heavy just north of us. We didn't get a drop.
