Well our power went out for a while. So I missed the bareback riding and don't know how my man did. The steer wrestling, saddle broncs, and team roping all got a little sniff. Tie down roper broke out, barrel racer knocked a can over, and bull rider bucked off. There is 25 people in my fantasy league. I am sitting in a sold 20th place. Oh well it is only money.......

It is my first year so I am not entirely sure of all the details. In our group you get 5,500 maximum to select your team. Contestants are valued from 1,500 to 100 based on their position in the top 15 in each event. Money won by each member of your team is totaled up. At the end of the 4 go round the team of the person sitting first has won 353,713. I am sitting in 20th with 161,733. I see on the result sheet that the team with the highest total for that go round is high lighted. I am guessing that along with the high dollar at the end there is some thing paid out to the go round winners. Like said my first year. A neighbor lady is running it. I talked to her along the road while they were moving cows so I didn't ask for details.

So you are playing the game and don’t know the rules. lol. Sounds like something I would do. Sometime it’s the comradely that counts. And yes I know I spelled that wrong but it’s early and haven’t finished my coffee

The only thing I don't know is how the pay out goes. But it was only $40 to enter. Like I said the neighbor lady is running it. To say she is trustworthy would be an understatement. When I talked to her they were moving cows. She was helping move cows plus she has two small boys (16 months and 3 1/2 years old) that she was taking care of while moving cows. She didn't have a lot of time to talk. Over half of the people involved are neighboring ranchers and cowboys. Not serious money to play or to be won.

I am looking forward to seeing the results of the fantasy teams. I know I am a long ways from winning. My bull ride (one of my expensive picks) bucked off 8. My barrel racer never made a dime. Tie down roper just placed a little and never toward the top of the round. Same with the team ropers. The steer wrestler did nothing in the first 8 rounds. The bareback and saddle bronc riders I picked were both former multiple average winners in the past. They won a little but not near the top.
I got to see my local tire guy standing on the stage at the South Point a couple of times. His son won several go round buckles in the steer wrestling. They bring their friends and family up on stage with them at the awards ceremony.
I wouldn't want to do this for much money. But it does give a person something extra to watch for.

Well I got to see the pay out. It paid the top three plus a little bit for the person in dead last. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me but it was $600+, $300+, $100+, and $48 for the last place guy. It didn't pay go round money which is a shame because I smoked them in the 10th go. It was $40 to enter. Plus you could buy insurance in case one of your guy got hurt. For $10 you could select anyone below your original pick. For $20 you cold select any other contestant.
