My friend and neighbor bought some bred "belted" cows like yours this winter and now they have all calved. Well every time I drive by I just about go into the ditch because I am so busy looking at those adorable belted calves running around. They are way too cute, should not be allowed in cattle.

Congrats on your new addition, a definite cutie pie. ;-) And those little patches around the eyes ...SOOO CUTE..Good thing you live far away or I might be tempted to take it off your hands :D .

Being a hog farmer once upon a time, every time I see a belted cow it reminds me of the hampshire breed of hogs. I guess I was a freshman in high school Ag class before I ever saw a belted cow. I kind of find them intriguing also. Fellow to the north of us has a herd of Blue Lingo.

Bigbull are belted Galloways and the Dutch Lakenvelder the same breed.

yes id say they are the same breed.just diff names.but the latter might be a little differant i really dont know.
