Always a story... my neighbour had a nice big tractor, he came to rescue the Ford and we hitched the two chains we had together, his and mine. I hopped into the tractor seat and he hesitated and said, "The chain can kill you you know."
"If it breaks?"
"Yeah. Just thought I should warn you."
"Okay."
It didn't break.
I hit that underground spring with the mower runing full revs and probably a gear too high for turning around off the flat. Ploughed the tractor in almost before there was time to lift the mower.
Not sure if the rain thing'll work this time... look out for a light warm wind with just a few drops in it. First wind I spoke to point blank refused to go, claimed he was drying the place out (then proceeded to play with my hair and try and lift my milking apron all evening). Then this other one came along and vanished within a minute of the hint he might have somewhere better to be. I'll see what happens tomorrow regards rain, the first wind is still howling around out there.
