Always a story... my neighbour had a nice big tractor, he came to rescue the Ford and we hitched the two chains we had together, his and mine. I hopped into the tractor seat and he hesitated and said, "The chain can kill you you know."
"If it breaks?"
"Yeah. Just thought I should warn you."
"Okay."
It didn't break.
I hit that underground spring with the mower runing full revs and probably a gear too high for turning around off the flat. Ploughed the tractor in almost before there was time to lift the mower.

Not sure if the rain thing'll work this time... look out for a light warm wind with just a few drops in it. First wind I spoke to point blank refused to go, claimed he was drying the place out (then proceeded to play with my hair and try and lift my milking apron all evening). Then this other one came along and vanished within a minute of the hint he might have somewhere better to be. I'll see what happens tomorrow regards rain, the first wind is still howling around out there.

I've got a better pic of the girls chasing down the tractor if you did want to go with that theme.

Sexiest tractor or best tractor will do just fine. I rather think every herd thinks their tractor is the best tractor so it might be a case of the biggest herd and prettiest herd wins?
Have I got the most multi-coloured herd? Maybe that could be a category too.

Your problem is that you know what he looks like. Only mental image I've got is a stick figure in a floppy hat and scrap of spotty yellow fabric... not all that traumatic really, especially knowing it resides scaring the crows several thousand miles away.
We ditched the sexiest wife because we knew it was unfair, you were going to win it anyway.

So can we go with 'tractor fan club' because then we can get anything from adoring cattle to artistically arranged fan belts to the employees taking time out in the cab with the air conditioning on.

What's the furthest anyone here has driven without a fanbelt? Did the vehicle survive? I'll start off with 70 K (about 45 miles).
 
my cattle don't pay much attention to the tractor, it's a Cummins 5.9 that turns their crank, as that's the easiest thing to start all winter.
