New Hay Tedder

Finally broke down and bought me a bigger hay tedder. Been using a 10ft this one is a 17 ft should really speed things up. It's a Sitrex ST520. Bought it off a individual but the local new holland dealer ship sells them and according to them they are good tedders even though they are made in Italy.

I think you'll be pleased with it. We've had a two basket sitrex unit for several years and it's been a good one.

We had a 10 foot tedder and that thing paid for itself the year we bought it. We used it nonstop.

So we upgrated to a big one similar to yours 2 years ago. And have not used it yet (knock on wood). :lol2:

When we went from a 2 basket to a 4 basket I was amazed at how much faster it is. It's more then twice as fast which is what I had expected.

Nice tedder Pricefarm!!! The time I needed a tedder I borrowed my neighbors 2 basket tedder. The paint was long gone so don't know what brand it was. Replaced the dry rotted tire and 3 of the tine sets. He got it back better that I got it. If I get a drum mower I'll probably get a Sitrex tedder.

PF looks nice I like it but I rarely use one I only have a 2 basket but if I was a true tedder like some others that would be a dandy to have.

We been fighting a wore out new Holland for years. Got a Kubota last year works pretty good.

Only someone from Tenn would be worrying about whether an outhouse worked or not. How could ya possibly "break" an outhouse anyway? ----the only moving part on it is the door.

The door is too small for an outhouse unless that would be where the kids were potty trained.

I bought a 4 basket tedder last year. I would tedder hay all day with the 10 footer. Now the hay gets much more sunlight because we finish so much faster. On a wet or unpredictable weather year a high capacity tedder will pay for itself quick.

If buying another, take a serious look at a Krone. Built like a tank, heavy enough and large enough tires to stay on the ground and has edge control so it doesn't throw crop out of the field.

Could have been an eight holer. Nice tedder, you will love it, just watch out for fence post your first round.
