The last one is pure limousine.

The young momma is doing well with her calf. Lack of patience sometimes, but the little one learned how to nurse from behind when mom isn't in the mood.

Really like this heifer. Nice udder, great character and very good family history. Her dam has a heifer this yeat, which also shows good replacement qualities.

This one seems that will carry her calf for abit longer. Not much of udder development yet.

Have one more heifer calved today. Has a lovely limousinex heifer. Young mom has lots of milk. 289days gestation. Another heifer is on 288th day, but it seems that she'll carry her calf for a little bit longer.

Heifer from the first calved heifer is already a big girl. Fun fact that so far we had six calves from this one AI limousine bull and five are heifers, and no doubt that bull is a very easy calved one. Only one calf, which I'd consider normal and all other were tiny.

Looking nice. Bet you are glad to see the end of the muddy winter. How is the veterinary work going?
Winter was somewhat acceptable. Not that much of mud, some really cold weather, but the spring has it all, mud, rain, snow, wind, etc. Hope it will be better soon.
Mostly doing AI job at home now, and a couple cases to treat at one farmer. It needs time for more people to know about the new vet.

This girl has calved unassisted a week ago. Nice lim bull calf born at 285th day. Only pure heifer left to calve. She's either AI bred or bred by the bull. Fingers crossed for an AI calf!

Preparing for new breeding season of other heifers. Still have around good two weeks left until the start.

Really excited about the new group of heifers. Almost all are born from AI and some breeds, which we've never had. Will keep 11 or 12 this year. Have to built up the number of cows as it started going down abit and there are quite some number of cows at 10years age or older.

One three week round in the breeding season for heifers. Had some extreme heats for more than a month, so it's really hard when using AI. Had some trouble with conception from AI and noticing during hot days earlier. Fingers crossed that those heifers which weren't seen in repeating heta after AI are already bred. There are three heifers which are very silent, so goint to use synchronization for them. Found it pretty hard to AI heifers on my first couple tries, now seems that I'm finally getting a hold of it.

Heifers look real good. Looks like you have some pretty good grass too. So much of the US is dry.... drought conditions in many areas. Our pastures are starting to dry up here, we are not as bad as some areas but rain is very spotty... downpours and storms one place, nothing 10 miles away....
Heat is hard to deal with. They don't show heats much when it is real hot out, or they are in heat at night.
Hope you were successful with most of them....

Had no normal rain for over a month here... Second grass is hardly growing and there is a possibility that we'll need to feed cattle in fall if there will be no rain.
We had temperatures from 86F up to 100F for a month. We used to have such temperatures for a couple days, but not for a month. I have a guess that one cow has even slipped her early pregnancy... She was silent for 3,5 months after AI, and suddenly one day, good 3-4 weeks after the start of the high temperatures, saw her in heat. Really pitty. I doubt that I just haven't seen her heat for that long, because that I kept very close eye on all cows and pay an extra attention for the cows on their 3 weeks terms after AI for 2-3 rounds. Have seen almost all other cows inheat and one which clearly was silent was preg checked and she seems to have been bred by one of the later weaned bull calves.
