I have built a feeder for my angus calves. They are around one month old. My question is can I paint it or will the paint be toxic to the cows and calves? Oil or latex?

Current leadfree paints should pose no toxicity problems for cattle.

I would recomend oil based paints for anything exterior. Seems they last longer than latex when exposed to the elements.
