Anyone use any of his sons? Your thoughts about his good and bad points. We are looking for a bull and found a guy who has several of his sons.

I have one that I'm really pleased with. He'll be 4 yrs old in December. His actual weaning weight was nearly 800lb w/o creep feed. This year hasn't been as good because of the drought but last year I sold several calves of his that weaned over 700lb with excellent conformation. I have six heifers from him that are bred to calve in the early Spring. I have found no faults in him. Of course every 878 son will be different depending a lot on the maternal side. I had an 036 son before the 878 son that was not impressive in any way.

Took this pic last year.

This is kinda 3rd hand information but the 878 daughters seem to be much more consistant than the sons. I have recieved information that some of the bull calves end up being very good while there are severa (2/3) that are very average. Like I said this is 3rd hand but there should be some good ones if he has several sons to sell.
